Fact is that Haley Jenner is a new author to me and I definitely will read her stuff again. I give 10 out of 5 stars for Parker and Codi their love story is so well and beautiful written the dialogue between the two characters is brilliant entertaining and so much fun to read that I was glued to every word.

He is so fuc Fact is that Haley Jenner is a new author to me and I definitely will read her stuff again. Fact no 2 is that Codi is the best strongest no taking any shit from the H,heroine ever. Shes out front honest natural and has a big heart I totally get why he fells hard for her. I would say this is the best written book virgin meets dark sexy and experienced bad boy cause she has him by his balls through the whole book. The best written book this year IMO.

Apr 16, PointedlyBlunt rated it really liked it. Eighteen years later, Rocco and Parker finally initiate a plan of revenge to get back at Dominic for the pain they endured. I understand they had a difficult childhood, but none of it was caused by women. Their mom and aunt were the only good people in their lives, so their common disrespect for women as a whole made no sense to me.

It lasts about 2 seconds, because the moment he does it, Codi leaves. Apr 13, Romance Readers Retreat rated it it was amazing. This is a new author to me and one I will definitely be reading more from. I loved this book and found her writing style well structured and a joy to read. Tangled Love is a story of two brothers, Rocco and Parker, who's lives have been marred by the murder of their mother during their teen years that leads to them spending their formative years plotting to avenge her death. They have a close bond that sees the younger brother quite dependant on his older sibling.

Rocco is the darker of the broth This is a new author to me and one I will definitely be reading more from. Rocco is the darker of the brothers and quite brash, while in Parker we see their is a softer side that he just needs the right person to nurture. Codi Rein is the planned target of the brothers revenge. However, things don't go to plan as Parker starts to interact with Codi and she is everything he isn't expecting.

Codi is a great character, she is quite naive on some levels yet she is spunky and can hold her own when she has to. Their connection is undeniable and the chemistry between them is off the charts. What we get is a tangled love story of two opposites colliding in a way that is forbidden as their story takes twists you don't see coming and keeps you on edge. A brilliant dark angsty read and I'm already looking forward to the next book in this series. Ms Jenner is definitely an author to watch out for. How far would you go for vengeance? Parker and Rocco live through unimaginable pain. The loss of their mother.

A father who beats them. Once they find out who was behind their mother's death they decide revenge would be theirs. An eye for an eye. Take away everything the man loves, then finish him. Stage one. His daughter. Parker starts following the daughter of the man who killed his mom. He wants to mess with her and then kill her. What happens when you aren't thoroughly consumed in t Revenge.

What happens when you aren't thoroughly consumed in the dark like you originally thought? What happens when you develop feelings for your target? Parker is dark. He makes no excuses for that, at all. He's dangerous, but somewhere deep inside he still holds on to humanity. Codi is an innocent, naive, woman.

She notices Parker's darkness and the danger radiating from him but also feels safe with him. After a few, funny, mishaps their relationship takes off. It's more than either one is prepared for. Haley Jenner keeps you entranced within this dark world. The characters are such a compliment to light and dark. I honestly had no idea what would happen.

Rocco was a wild card for me. I'm thinking everything will be ok one second and then bam, I'm worried it won't be ok. Secrets revealed. Feelings on show. Tangled Love will keep you on your toes while you watch light and dark come together. Apr 17, Karen Sedgman rated it it was amazing. Random Fact: This story was amazing and intense! Random Fact: Can't wait to read more! Storming eyes, inked skin, and ripped muscles. Parker's war within himself between that fall and the need for revenge was purely intoxicating.

I inhaled the story and loved it!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!! Apr 13, Tiffany Readz rated it it was amazing Shelves: romance-and-more , mafia-romance. Edge of Your Seat Holy smokes, Haley Jenner is trying to give her readers an angst attack with this book! I wasn't sure what to expect after reading the blurb and what I got was fantastic.

We are instantly introduced to Parker and Rocco when they were young boys and what happened to them. A situation that has stuck in thier minds for years and has manifested in a plan of revenge. Now in thier thirties, they are finally ready to seek that revenge. I'll rob her Edge of Your Seat I'll rob her from them, they way they took her from me and I'll show them what real pain is. She is an innocent, in all ways. Sheltered by her father, at twenty five she's yet to meet the man of her dreams, until Parker comes barging into her life. Not a fan of insta-love, there was something about Parker and Codi that I liked and let this one slide.

He was that gruff guy on the outside, with that teddy bear interior that I just love. I couldn't tell if he was mafia or MC with the way Haley Jenner had him talking. There were a couple of references to Jax Teller from Sons of Anarchy, so I just pictured him like that. It's almost like a romance whodunit.

Page after page I was waiting for that other shoe to drop and see who was left standing. Very intense. The book is well written and I absolutely loved Parker and Rocco's dynamic. Both of them tough on the outside and mush on the inside. Hopefully Camryn and Rocco are going to try this dating thing in the next book. Now there's two people with some heavy baggage. Reviewed for Renee Entress's Blog Apr 11, Jamie Guellar rated it it was amazing.

The angst will keep you glued to the pages and the hotness will have you needing a cold shower. Codi Rein is their target. Parker Shay is everything I love in a bad boy, dark and a little broken. And I think he is absolutely perfect for Codi. And a little too dependent on Rocco. Needless to say, Haley Jenner has made a fan out of this girl. Loved this book, loved the characters and absolutely loved the whole story. Apr 10, Sarah rated it it was amazing. I wish I could give it stars. Once again Haley Jenner absolutely blew me away. Their chemistry is off the charts. The talent that oozes from Haley Jenner is massive.

The angst, the love, the hate, the everything is just so realistic. Every book gets better and better. This book is a superb, brilliantly written and remarkable story. The characters are just swoon worthy with all their possessiveness over revenge and love; the rivalry that occurs between the two brothers is executed so well in the storyline. There is loss that engulfs your heart and the angst that is captured in the tales of revenge and hatred that makes this book an EPIC read. The chemistry of Parker and Codi is two-fold, one of hatred and one of innocence.

The driving force of their pull for on This book is a superb, brilliantly written and remarkable story. The driving force of their pull for one another is not your standard love story. These characters are just perfect. They hate, they love, they have circumstances that are pulling them apart in the most dangerous of games but how can you love someone that has so much horrible, gut-wrenching history against you?

Their passion is dripping off the pages. I love their insecurities hidden behind their brave exteriors, this is what makes them raw and real. This is my first book by these two talented Aussie ladies and I highly recommend it to everyone. Apr 18, Rose rated it really liked it. Omg I loved this!!!!! It's hot, it's cute it's romantic and suspenseful! Parker is out for revenge, but of course he falls for Codi. It's very rare in books I find authors can create distinct personalities. But it was done very well here!!! I loved how much Parker loved Codi and how crazy he was about it in the end.

It was and is kind of a 5 star read for me And this Omg I loved this!!!!! And this might be a slight spoiler but. In the end after everything blows up the author took the direction where the H thinks he doesn't deserve her and so leaves her alon and she comes to him.

But I guess I wanted it that HE fights for her. Usually I'd give it lower if this is the ending that he h goes to the H after he messed up but here I understood it completely I just wish otherwise ; Definitely recommend this book!!! Apr 15, Melissa Rob rated it it was amazing Shelves: 5-star-review , arc. So I finished Tangled Love last night and what can I say. It was sooooo freaking good. Parker is a dominant intimidating man and I love that about him. She stood her ground and stuck up for herself.

That one was fake. Don't smile at me like that. I only want our real ones. If you're lucky you can achieve both. In my opinion Haley Jenner has achieved both. I truly am so addicted to their words I get wrapped up in them. I disagree, what we just shared, that's as intimate and as emotional as anyone can gt. Lost in one another the way I'm lost in you. This is the first book in the Chaotic Rein series and Haley Jenner set us up with some kickass secondary characters. I can't wait for the next book in this series! Apr 09, Harlow Stone rated it it was amazing.

Haley Jenner writes about a tortured hero you can't help but fall in love with. Parker Shay is everything I love in a broken hero. He makes no apologies for being an asshole, but you see past it because you can tell that when he loves, he loves hard.

Unfortunately there aren't too many people in his life he gets to share his hidden, but big heart with. This story is full of twists and turns, keeping you on the edge of your seat hoping to hell he and Codi get the happy ending they so deserve. If Haley Jenner writes about a tortured hero you can't help but fall in love with. If you're looking for a book that will keep you captivated until the last page, this is it. Well done, ladies. I cannot wait for Rocco's story. This is my first Haley Jenner story and I really loved it.

It is a dark and suspenseful read. The Shay brothers are on a mission and Codi is about to get in the way. Parker and Codi have instant heat that jumps right off the pages of this story. So much so that it ends up changing the dynamics of Parker and Rocco's plan.

Codi is a great character all on her own, but with Parker, she is even better. Again I enjoyed this dark story and can't wait for Rocco's story. I voluntarily read an advanced r This is my first Haley Jenner story and I really loved it. I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy for my honest review. Random fact - I love you Really enjoyed this book. This is my first read by this author and won't be the last.

What started out as just loving this awesome cover of this book I holy you know what look at that total hotness to thinking the synopsis of the book sounded interesting. Really enjoyed the storyline to this, it had so many twists, random facts, hot AF sex scenes and a vendetta and revenge in mind. What happens when revenge turns to love?? Hey read the book. Thanks Jamie Nibarger Ellis Sep 28, Lynn rated it liked it.

I owe him my life. Parker and Rocco lost their mother when they were children, and had a rough life after her death. The plot is basically about revenge. Rocco decides to let Parker play with Codi, before moving forward with their plan to kill her.

Codi finds out the reason. There are parts that angered me. Parker is one of the main characters in this book, described as a hot bad boy But his character is weakly written. His description sounds I owe him my life. His description sounds like a bad boy, tough, tattoos, muscles, etc He is a follower not the leader. I struggle in his grasp, hands and legs moving to dislodge him, but his body mass is too much.

I land a few blows into his ribs, into his kidneys and eventually he gives, letting me throw him off my body. Another part that frustrated me was the fact that Parker dates Codi, to get close to her, before they are supposed to kill her, yet she goes to him in the end. He should have groveled Oh, it frustrated me something terrible.

That was unacceptable. He should have went to her. He wasn't their for her when she needed him the most. And she goes kissing his butt vocalizing the sweetest butt kissing lines to get him to give into her instead of pushing her away. The way he pushes her away was definitely uncalled for because she was innocent in this whole plot. It went as far as the "Father" talking sincerely to Parker When it should have been the other way around. He did only talk to her from the beginning so they could kill her to get revenge.

Which their are twist that unfolds. Here comes Park with his sad ole excuses and the weak heroine forgives him. Parker didn't deserve Codi. Codi deserved much better. There was parts that bored me and I skimmed. I did like the epilogue, just with there was more. It would of been nice after feeling all of that anger, to end it with a smile.

It wasn't nothing special just a proposal. Even though I skimmed, I did like the writing. It was interesting parts as well as boring parts. The character building was flat. I didn't like the progress. Even though the plot flowed there was no growth. I have to give credit for the writing. The writing is good. If I come across the next book in this series I would give it a try. Rocco was the beast in this book, so maybe his character will be better in the next one along with a different plot. I think it would be worth trying. I think this book is worth trying. Certain things that may frustrate me, might not frustrate you.

Apr 16, Malissa rated it it was amazing Shelves: dark-romance , must-read , 5stars , contemporary , suspense , arcs , part-of-a-series , romance. This is the first book by Haley Jenner that I have read and I am really pleased to now have her in my sights. Tangled Love was a bit of dark romance and suspense wrapped up into one. It is an emotional roller coaster of a ride, a book where one minute you are hating a main character and the next you are broken down in tears wishing you could hug them, and pet them, and love them.

It's one of those reads where when you start it you think, okay How far will you go for vengeance, what is it worth to you, what if everything you knew to be true was a lie, what if vengeance no longer matters but it's all you have, it is what has kept you going for 20 years?

Could you shove aside everything, could you let go of the possibility of a new life, a happy life, love for retribution? I will admit to having some mixed feelings for our hero at first, he is But then I began to understand him, I began to see him and listen and well, I kinda have some pretty strong attachment type feelings toward Parker. I may have even done the unimaginable and fallen a little in love with his brother too, who.. Codi, she is such a sweet heroine but on top of that she is also fierce.

I loved that she would just walk out on Parker when he was acting like a jerk! It was wonderful seeing such a strong heroine and yet one who is sightly broken and a little soft hearted Wait, isn't that like a song lyric She's amazing and I loved the two of them together even when they were giving me all those angsty feels. I loved that Codi's kind heart brings out the softness that has always been there in Parker. When it comes down to it he is very much like a little boy that never got to be.

He just wants love and kindness. He wants to be shown that it is okay to hurt and when his emotions get too much for him he throws, essentially, an adult sized tantrum. That doesn't make him a bad person, doesn't make him annoying, jerk yes, annoying no honestly it just makes you love him even more because he is so real and so raw and it is so very easy to see why Codi would lose her heart to a man like him even when it could cost her everything.

Tangled Love is a well paced, thought out story that is going to have you wanting book two in your hands right away. I honestly can't wait for Rocco's storyline I love the way it looks like it is going to go and who it will go with. There's a whole world waiting for us in Chaotic Rein and while I am not sure we'll get more than two books seeing as there are two brothers I really hope that Haley is able to weave in some extra characters and keep us sitting on the edge of our seats for a few books more.

Edge of Chaos (Love on the Edge #1) by Molly E. Lee

There was only one thing that threw me off and sadly I can't really talk about it because hello spoiler Now that may be because we will see this person again and it will wrap up in another installment but I want the vindication that comes along with this persons storyline ending I think everyone deserves that.

This is a great series to pick up if you are looking for something with steaming romance, some suspense, and little bit of a dark feel to it. Apr 13, Rebecca Gates rated it it was amazing. Haley Jenner deserve all the best words I can write. I swear, they are the same person. He is loyal to his brother and wants to help find them both revenge and redemption. He wants to give his brother and himself peace. He thinks he can handle it He is hard, soft, cold, warm, dark, and light. But behind the walls he seems to so heavily reinforce, I saw something more.

Someone altruistic. Someone loving, if only in his specific way. It was there. I wanted more of it. Codi acknowledges the darkness in people but refuses to let that shut out their light. She brings that light out, because she truly sees their souls. Manufactured for consumers, sure, marketing assholes trying in vain to recreate the unrivaled beauty of someone like her. But I disagree.

The mind is so dominating, so consuming. In your unforgiving and relentless mind. I can honestly say, this book is in my top The reason that you want to get out of bed in the morning. There is great messages although violent. One chapter at the end has the popping of an eyeball, stabbing in the neck, blood everywhere, and the girl gets shot through her stomach and lives. This title contains: Educational Value. Positive Messages. Teen, 13 years old Written by swagshyguy15 September 8, Awesome Book! I read this book and I must say it was pretty violent. It is a clear bit more violent than The Hunger Games and brutal depictions of violence and blood and gore are quite often and usually described in explicit detail.

There's one use of 'fing' but otherwise the language is really mild. But it was intense and really compelling and interesting! If you aren't faint-hearted, chances are you'll love this book. Teen, 16 years old Written by the-divergent July 10, Good book, but only for those mature enough to handle it The Knife of Never Letting go was good.

I enjoyed everything from the sic-fi alien theme to the surprising plot twist at the end. There is a lot of swearing, Todd says "effing" a lot, though he never directly says what it stands for, but once he says "and I didn't say effing, I said what effing stands for". There is a lot of violence, so make sure your kid is mature enough to handle it. So I can't really say an exact age, because some 13 year olds may not be able to handle violence as well as others.

I read this book just amonth before I turned 14 and I have to admit it made me quite sick at the end.

It's very, very, very violent and bloody with very effective descriptions. If it was a movie it would be rated R or higher. But the point is that it's supposed to make you sick and realize how terrible this world is and why things sould never be this way. And I think it is quite effective in addressing that. Also, there is some swearing, but it's usually "Eff" spelled that way , although one character does really say it once and there's also the s-word.

Teen, 13 years old Written by annafan June 16, I'm 13, and I read it, but it might be better for older kids. Teen, 13 years old Written by Athena Keene May 6, I just beilve in the fact that each and every kid has a different maturity level. Teen, 13 years old Written by nsvv April 30, An extraordinary read but only for those mature enough to cope with it. The book is beautifully written, and keeps you engaged throughout with an engaging writing style and continuous dramatic and emotional twists in the story line. The book does contain some violence and bad language, and the general theme of the novel is too intense and difficult for younger readers to handle. However, it is a truly spectacular read for those mature enough to handle it.

Kid, 12 years old April 15, Please Be Warned, this book is not for the faint hearted. It is truely awsome though. It has loads of killing refrences, but its all like; Your to weak! You can't kill!

M. Scott Peck

Your not a man ect. It gets slightly tedious after a while. But there is lots of action, I love the characters, and the whole idea of noise, and new prentiss town, and spackle. Its so original, it just sucks you in. You just can't put it down.

Bloody is one good word to describe it. There is A LOT of gore, some made me gag! One scene a man's nose is completely ripped off, described with no holding back. This book IS most definitely just chaos walking. A girl is drugged, and a death is token. I cried. If you think you can swallow it, go for it. It is a pretty well written novel. The ending will have you rushing to the nearest bookshop to purchase the sequel.

Characters drink wine, and the ending battle is BLOODY, worst than most of those vampire novels coming out now a days.
