With ten minutes remaining the Jackies lead by twelve points and were coasting. Meath had other ideas and deservedly forced extra time. U15A Football Championship Semi Final St Sylvesters Whitehall Colmcilles I was surprised the margin crept up so much as we were very competitive until the last 10 minutes in a very entertaining game in Bridgefield with a good crowd and a lovely sunny morning. We led for a good period of the first half but a bigger Whitehall sitting on top of Div1 were always able to take good points and got aheah to at the break.

We stayed close for the third quarter but unfortunately missed the few opportunities we made while Whitehall broke away for a good goal and closed the game out. I think everyone present enjoyed a good skillful sporting game and good luck to Whitehall in the Final. Developments in Malahide Castle.

Fingal CC have stated that they plan to carry out a review of the number of short-term car parking spaces in and adjacent to Malahide Village and, if necessary, identify suitable locations for the provision of additional spaces. At this point in time we have no indication if future proposals could potentially impact upon our existing facilities. This decision has potential implications for our ambitions relating to development plans at Broomfield. Disappointing loss at Brigids. Just did not convert up front, simple as that. A foul on Garry somehow resulted in a quick break for Brigids and they goaled and pointed and suddenly had dailight between us.

Playing into wind and rain, conditions were certainly difficult, but we did create about 6 more scoring chances but poor shooting and wrong options conspired against us. Ronan started very brightly, defensively we were very good, John, Fionn and Collie fronting a confident looking Dominic I thought Garry was fouled a lot but never seemed to get any advantage.

Disappointing showing by U21 footballers. I think we lost by seven points to old rivals Kilmacud Crokes and it was probably our poorest display of this opposition. We started ok but quickly fell off the pace playing into a cold wind, looking cold and sluggish in ourselves against a fairly confident looking Crokes managed by Syls man Gabrial Bannigan. We trailed to at the break but made a better fist of the second half, Jack gaining some foothold in the middle, Luke Troy setting up a goal and scoring a second but we were always 5 yards off the pace and finished to There was a great crowd expecting a cracker and it'shard to explain the performance.

Disappointing start for Senior Footballers.

Top 2 from each group will go through to a semi-final place.

Bottom two will compete for a Shield. Draw in SHC v Finbarrs. We completely mis-fired in the first half into a strong blustery wind, four different free takers missing. A great catch and carry by Fionn setup Alan Kenny for a goal see the pictures and we were only trailed by six, to 1. There will be a "drug awareness" evening which will be held at St Sylvester's GAA club house on the evening of Thursday the 16th April at 8.

This very important event has been organised in order to raise awareness to the levels and extreme perils of drug abuse in modern society. Dual Player - alive and well.

Apparently the day of the dual player is over, even at club level or so we are to believe! But see attached, 8 Clare senior hurlers winning county football and getting to Munster Club Final! Surely if they can do it we should not let our kids be told that they must choose one code over the other Questions should be asked, maybe their is a reasonable explanation but is is not obvious from here.

Congrats also to Ray Boyne who was involved in the back room of many of Dublin's success this year. Dublin Ladies honoured by Lord Mayor. Dublin Ladies in Parnell Park on Sunday. This should be a cracker. Only a point separated the teams in last year's Championship match. Both teams have registered two wins and one loss in the League. Do support the girls on Sunday and we wish Niamh a speedy recovery from her recent injury.

Dublin Ladies just a little short. Congratulations to the Dublin Ladies on a determined display in Croke Park today but unfortunately it was just not enough to dethrone the all conquering Cork. Niamh McEvoy led my example up front, must have been her best ever display for Dublin, Nicole Owens foraged hard for the decisive opening after her introduction, it would have been great to see Nicole get more ball in space to create a greater threat.

It was a great honour for St Sylvesters that our players again contributed to the biggest event in Ladies Sport in Europe. Hard luck girls, I felt the transition from defence to attack was just a little too ponderous to threaten the Cork girls. Dublin Ladies just pipped by Cork. Great credit is due to the girls and our own Sinead Aherne who had a great second half and Niamh McEvoy who covered every blade of grass. The girls should be very hopefull for the Summer based on this display. Dublin Ladies reach All Ireland Final. Congratulation to all the girls and best of luck in the final against Cork I think?

Dublin Ladies through to All Ireland Final. Niamh McEvoy had a very lively first half and Nicole Owens came in late. Congratulations to all and lets look forward to a big Dublin crowd at the final. Dublin Ladies win Leinster — Nicole is player of the Match. Dublin Ladies won their fifth Leinster title in a row in style, beating Westmeath comprehensively, to All three Syls girls, Sinead Aherne, Niamh McEvoy and Nicole Owens, made significant contributions with Nicole winning the Player of the Match trophy on the back of 6 wonderful points from play as well as being involved in several moves that lead to other scores.

COM Few pictures here. Dublin make Ladies semifinal in great tussle with Donegal. Syls girls do well. Dublin Ladies got a scare in the All Ireland quarter final v Donegal and, while Donegal certainly put it up to Dublin, the Dubs were largely responsible for the predicament they found themselves in. They should have been well ahead at half time but instead were a goal behind, due mainly to lots of shocking passing errors and a few bad shooting misses as well as conceding a soft goal through a mix-up between full back and keeper.

In the end, they won to Full match report will follow. Dublin Minor Ladies lose out in a cracker. The Dublin minor girls just missed out in a grandstand last quarter against defending champions Cork in the All Ireland Final in Longford. Syls Danielle Lawless scored a point and was involved in a few more for the Dubs who trailed by 8 points at one stage but battled back very gamely and were a little unlucky not to draw level in ythe last few minutes. See the report attached from the LGFA website. Alsio a few pictures of Danielle from the Armagh semifinal. Dublin Minor Ladies win.

Dublin are off to a solid start, collecting two wins from their three matches of Dubs beat Mayo with a last kick point from Sinead Aherne. Dublin just about made it into the All Ireland Ladies Football final at Breffni Park on Saturday, thanks to a last kick of the game free converted from distance and a difficult angle by player of the match Sinead Aherne. After an opening twenty minutes dominated by Dublin, who led at that stage by 8 points, they went into defensive mode for the last 10 minutes of the half and led by just 6 points at half time.

Niamh McEvoy was inspirational during that 20 minute dominant spell. She made a fabulous catch over the head of the full back to lay on a crucial pass for Sinead to score the first of her two well taken goals. The second goal also came from a McEvoy pass, after beating two Mayo defenders to steer the ball into Sinead's path. Mayo were a tranformed team in the second half, producing incredible energy levels to claw their way back into the game.

Dublin, by contrast, looked a bit lethargic and made two many mistakes for their own good. Despite two early Aherne points that put the Dubs into an 8 point lead again, Mayo, inspired by the seemingly ageless Cora Staunton, drew level with 10 minutes to go. After another exchange of points, with Dublin scoring through Nicole Owens after an inch perfect cross field pass from Sinead, it came down to that last kick with the clock ticking down towards zero. The hooter sounded as the ball just about made it over the bar. Easter Camps huge success. We only started the Easter Camps about 5 years ago but they have quickly become one of our most popular annual events and with the weather blessing us we set record numbers for participation.

Due to popularity we had to close numbers for the camp so we would ask anyone wishing to book summer camps to do so as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Pictures here.
