A second release on Atlantic followed a year later with five of the eight songs making a reappearance. In an interview with The Christian Post , Jason said that his plan did not include a Christian release, but the songs he wrote expressed a time in his life when he had a yearning for God.

The son of a military chaplain, Chris began his love affair with music in high school. College was pre-law at Pensacola Christian College until he transferred to Bob Jones University to get a degree in music in his sophomore year. He excelled musically to such an extent that he was invited to audition both for The Juilliard School and the Metropolitan Opera in New York but those kudos didn't keep him from getting expelled during his senior year when he was caught attending a Christian rock concert.

Mandisa was voted off in 9th place on April 5th and went on to sign with Sparrow Records in early after the completion of the Idol tour. Carrie Underwood, the season 4 winner, started singing as a young child in church. Her single, "Jesus, Take the Wheel," won six awards, was named the Grammy Country Song of the Year as well as the Dove Country Single of the Year, and as a ringtone, sold more than one million downloads and was certified Platinum.

What we got tonight was a polished, Laci-fied version of this karaoke standard, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. As Richie noted, she stayed in her comfort zone tonight, which seemed to serve her well. I also love the idea, as Perry suggested, that his voice is secretly 1, years old. I was engaged! Still others get their worth, meaning and purpose from their career. If their business fails, they feel like they are a failed human being. They worship success. Many parents find meaning and purpose in parenting. Suddenly, when the kids leave home they find they have no purpose.
They grow depressed and look for something else to give them meaning and purpose. For the past 20 years or so they have been placing their kids in the place of God. Yet my people have exchanged their glorious God for worthless idols! Search our own hearts and uncover our own personal idols.
