Who Stole the Barkbox Contents?! Sherlock Bones is On The Case!

Clever way to tell readers to use all the senses to solve this mystery. Go to Amazon. Back to top. Get to Know Us. Length: 40 pages. Gotta say that I expected this book to be cuter than it was. The story fell very flat to me. The illustrations didn't help it up too much. Big hit.

Love mysteries! Aug 06, Tanya rated it it was amazing Shelves: picture-books. Fun, not scary, teaches senses a but obviously but not in a boring way. It even a teaches something about forgiveness and repentance without even knowing it. Feb 02, Katie Casey rated it really liked it Shelves: read-to-kids.

A clever little book, probably best for readers slightly older than Micah maybe ?

Because reading changes lives

And I really liked it! Apr 20, Jennifer rated it it was amazing Shelves: children-s-books. Such a cute story. I could see myself using this multiple ways in a classroom. I would highly recommend it! The story was okay, but I really enjoyed the cut-paper illustrations. Very impressive cut-paper collages; wonderful story: Sherlock Bones uses all his senses to solve the mystery.

I used his books for all kinds of reasons when I worked in the classroom. I did story drama with Roland the Minstrel Pig. Have you read it? For years I read The Real Thief to groups of children and we always ended up having profound conversations about guilt and justice. Thanks, Myra.

2nd Grade Reading

Such a cute read! Both of your books this week look adorable! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful week! I even like the font they used that looks almost hand-written. Thanks for the shares, Myra! The artwork is great in those books. See what I read this month at Girl Who Reads.
