But when Varushka come into his life with her innocence, Konstantin couldn't hold himself. His mind already triggered with her submissive's act every time. But he never think that he will 'train' her in the future. Otherwise, Varushka is a girl from small town like a Cinderella. She got the Prince Charming and his kingdom.

Actually, I like her better than Kate and Everly. But she has some weak point like her constant unsure to have sex before marriage. Yeah, she's very religious about it although she didn't hypocrite to have sex with Konstantin. I could feel her struggle. But Konstantin handled it very well. He didn't rush and go with the flow. He didn't want her to be guilt about it. Almost half of the book focused to build their chemistry before they went into BDSM.

Of course, it's about trust and connection. They didn't know each other so it's very important. I loved how Konstantin handle her curiosity and she didn't freak out. They're so cute together! The minus is Konstantin seems softer than before. He's still strict about having control as her Dom but he never show his sadist side to consider her feeling. Their relationship seems fun until the end. It was sexy and romantic. What I liked the most is the lake scene.

It was burning HOT in so many levels. I really do love Konstantin's dirty talk. Although the drama that 'cause they break for a while didn't convince me so much, the solution was too easy. It didn't reach my expectation but at least they have happily every after. To Have and to Master is the best book so far.

I enjoyed their moment together :D View all 3 comments. Sep 23, Jill Myles rated it it was amazing. Read it in one sitting not hard to do when you are laid up like back troubles like I am right now. This was so great and just what it took to get me out of my reading slump. Konstantin owes his grandma who is back in a poor part of Russia and decides to let her pick out a bride for him - Varushka.

Seriously, she's adorable Oooo! Seriously, she's adorable. And Konstantin is a dark eyed dom who wants to play very dirty games with her. There's a great thread of humor through the book that takes a lot of the darkness out of the storyline and makes it one of playfulness instead of heavy, deep BDSM. Suuuper sexy, too. Loved it! Just went and bought the first one and will be eagerly waiting for book two. If you are one of my reading buddies that enjoys Cherise Sinclair, I think you'll like this!

Getting to see them all again, as well as their women, was a real treat, and while this story can be read as a stand-alone, reading them in order just makes them that much better. Konstantin is my dream Dom. Traveling to Russia to meet the woman his grandmother has chosen for him to marry, I thought this was a quaint and charming twist for such an unconventional man.

His bride-to-be is a virginal farm girl, and the difference between the innocent Varushka and the worldly Konstantin makes him seem even more like a handsome big-bad-wolf. The drawback for me was Varushka herself. She was too sweet and innocent not to like. It would be like trying to hate a cute little kitten. And I understand that she was trying to be portrayed as wide-eyed and inquisitive, but I almost felt as if she came from the out of the early s, rather than just a small town in Russia. However, while this may have distracted me, the sweetness and sexiness of the story drew me back in.

Reading this story, I found myself not wanting to get to the end because I genuinely liked these guys. Review copy provided for an honest review. Sep 18, Danielle rated it really liked it. Although this could be read as a standalone I recommend starting from the very beginning to get to know the characters.

In the previous book we learn that Konstantins grandmother wants him to marry and has arranged a marriage for him from his hometown in Russia. Although he has never met her he does have a picture of the woman who shall be his wife. This story begins with Konstantin in Russia meeting his soon to be wife, Varushka for the first time. Varushka is impressed on how good looking and w Although this could be read as a standalone I recommend starting from the very beginning to get to know the characters. Varushka is impressed on how good looking and wealthy he is but as they get to know one another quickly she becomes entranced not only with him but in the world he belongs to.

When i started this I wasn't really sure what to think about this relationship that was growing. I like how Konstantin took the time to explain things to her, take her shopping and get her settled into to America. Varushka is a sweet innocent virgin that is learning what Konstantin likes. Little by little she discovers it is also what she likes and of course she wants to please her master. This story had some humor added in. One of my favorite parts is when he comes home from being away on business to find chickens in his backyard. That scene is so cute and funny. They way the authors wrote this had me feeling like I was there looking on while this all played out.

The sex doesn't come right away which is fine with me because these two are entertaining enough without it. But when it does come all I have to say is wow! These two characters have a great chemistry for an arranged marriage and I'm truly glad it works out. I really enjoyed seeing the other characters and them all hanging out and getting along. The guys give each other a hard time and the girls are pretty funny. While the relationship is growing between Konstantin and Varushka she is also making friends. There isn't much drama in this story which was nice. The only issue is that Varushkas father has changed his mind and doesn't want her to marry him but to find out why you'll have to pick up this book.

Overall I have enjoyed not only this book but the previous books in this new series. We also meet a new character who knew Konstantin when he was younger and it looks like he will be getting a story. Hopefully we will continue to hear from the characters that started this series out. View 1 comment. Dec 20, Candice Barrier rated it it was amazing. This was a great book to finish out the series. After watching his two "brothers" find their perfect subs, it was time for Konstanin to settle down as well. This book some great emotion and really pulls the reader in to feel the emotions of the characters within.

This book reminded me so much of my relationship with my Dom, the braty nature I have but also the way he can make me melt with just a look. If it was ever explained, I missed it but I just don't understand why he would want someone from Russia. Even more, why he would want someone who is so clearly ignorant of how modern America works see my chicken rant above. She speaks very little English and she's just supposed to come over here and be happy? I can't even count how many ways Konstantin is a major dick because of that. Varushka was a virgin. Like a seriously virginal virgin. Blushing at light kisses and touches on the hand. Holy Batman Balls, are you serious right now? Ugh, whatever.

Their relationship was shit because he held all the power and she wandered around like a six-year old in a liquor store Mixing history lessons and rap may have seemed a little crazy at first, but the kids coming into my classes now are hip-hop history ready. However, her semi-obsession with Alexander Hamilton began well before the founding father made his way to Broadway. I think I was probably reading the Ron Chernow biography of Hamilton right around the same time that Lin-Manuel was, and that book got me excited to put the spotlight back on Hamilton's importance.

It used to be that they never remembered Hamilton, but since the musical's become so big that's not as much of a problem anymore. Some might assume that bringing music into the history classroom means that teacher and students can take a fun break from the harder work of mastering subject matter. That's not how it works in Miss MacMillan's class. Before any beats start dropping, students are expected to be familiar with both the larger contours of the history being studied as well as contemporaneous personal perspectives made available through such primary documents as letters and diaries.

I make it clear that a rapper is a writer — if you're going to write a powerful rap you have to put just as much skill and effort into that as any other form of writing. And they do. It's really rewarding to see that when the kids are debating lyrics, they're not arguing over what would be a cooler rhyme — they're arguing about historical accuracy and which details from the primary documents to include. While MacMillan enlivens history with music, she also teaches students to turn a historical ear toward the music itself.

Speaking with Miss MacMillan's students, it's clear that the teacher's enthusiasm for her subject is contagious, and many cite her classroom as a particularly safe, nurturing and stimulating space. You know going into her class that you're going to work hard and learn a lot and have a really good time. Other students point out that the musical component of MacMillan's class, rather than being diversion, is actually a crucial key to a deeper understanding of classroom lessons.

And I think we learn the lessons better with music than if we just learned them through lectures or a textbook. The positive impact on Miss MacMillan's students is recognized by her colleagues as well. It's so rewarding to see how the kids respond to that. The way she gets her students involved and engaged is just incredible, and you can see that her kids are just so excited to learn. Our history is just full of so many interesting stories, and those stories are about real people who lived and breathed just like we do.

When that clicks for kids, history gets exciting. I hear people talking about how hard teaching can be and I really just don't get that. My biggest problem most days is how to fit in 90 hugs before 9 o'clock. Have A Google Home Device? Chuck Crisafulli is an L. It really felt like she was thrown to the wolves — Konstantin being the worst of them all. This is where Sparrow Beckett dropped the kink and gave this reader the kind of romance that makes her swoon. Serious swooning happened. It made the boundaries that Kon had placed on himself become blurred. He asserted his dominance in slow, but steady increments. It was such a natural progression for the pair.
