After they discover a way inside, they realize that things are not as they used to be. The four adult-sized animatronic mascots that once entertained patrons have changed. They now have a dark secret. In , year-old Charlie returns to her childhood home of Hurricane, Utah to attend the launch of a scholarship dedicated to her school friend Michael Brooks, who went missing ten years earlier.

Five Nights at Freddy's: The Silver Eyes

She reunites with her childhood friends Jessica, John, and Carlton, and they decide to revisit the place where Michael died: Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, a family restaurant Charlie's father once owned. An incomplete shopping mall has been built in the restaurant's place, but upon further investigation the friends discover the restaurant is still standing, and the mall has been built around it. Breaking in, they explore the abandoned restaurant and find that its animatronic mascot characters - Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Bunny and Chica the Chicken, which were built by Charlie's father - have been left behind.

The next day, Charlie and her friends attend the scholarship's launch ceremony at their old school, where Michael's parents give a speech about him. Afterwards, John confesses to Charlie that he remembers seeing a strange person in a yellow Freddy costume at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza on the day of Michael's death, and he now suspects this person was Michael's killer. That night, Charlie, Jessica, John, and Carlton return to the restaurant, accompanied by their friends Lamar, Marla, and her year-old brother Jason. They discover the still-functioning control panel which makes the robots move, and Charlie finds a fourth robot - Foxy the Pirate Fox - which cuts her arm with its hook.

The next morning, haunted by recent events, Charlie tells John that before moving to Hurricane her father owned another restaurant called Fredbear's Family Diner, which featured two performing robots, yellow versions of Freddy Fazbear and Bonnie the Bunny. John drives Charlie to the abandoned diner in New Harmony, Utah, and she remembers the day her brother Sammy was abducted by someone in a Bonnie costume, which led to the diner going out of business and Charlie's parents divorcing.

She suspects that Sammy's abduction and Michael's murder are connected. That evening, the friends go to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza again, but are caught by the mall's security guard Dave, who threatens to call the police. Okay, so after looking over the results of the poll, I've come up with a plan. Then, I will publish a free roam mode in the Pizzeria. After that, it will be back to Chapter 3, and 4, and so on. Hey everyone! I have a question. I'm working on Chapter 2 right now, and I've been thinking: Should I put off Chapter 2 for a bit to make a demo where all the animatronics roam around the Pizzeria with you?

I set up a poll, so tell me what you'd prefer! Development for Chapter 2 is officially underway! Screenshots on the way as the week continues!

Hey, everyone! Some people have been asking when Chapter 2 is going to be out. I'm taking a break to work on my original project, Morgue. In about a week, I'll start work on Chapter 2.

So, expect more news about Chapter 2 in a couple weeks! See you then! Chapter 1 is finally out! Download it now, and feel free to make videos of it! While the novel does hint as to their fate, this comes via the raving of a concussed character and so nothing is ever truly revealed.

Even the significance silver-eyed skeleton referred to in the title is left to the imagination of the reader. I also found the ending to be rather disappointing. Ultimately, the day is saved by a deus ex machina which flew in the face of things that the villain claimed earlier in the novel. It felt as though that authors had written themselves into a corner and could think of no other way that the suvivors could escape from the pizzeria.

These were a particularly weak point in the novel as most of the primary characters just felt like extras in a horror movie. They were flat and virtually interchangeable, many of them even having similar sounding names to make it even harder to tell them apart. The only ones that really stood out where Charlie and Carlton. Carlton was your typical funny character even in the face of death and I must admit that I did find him to be genuinely entertaining on occasion. Ultimately, she seemed to be the same person at the end of the novel that she was at the beginning.

Speaking as a fan of both the games and bad horror movies in general, I did ultimately enjoy this novel.

The Silver Eyes

The book is easy to read but filled with flat characters and weak plotting. Previous Scythe Next Bone Gap. Sarthak Jan 23, Kim Jan 23, You are commenting using your WordPress.
