Keep on writing and God Bless you! Gosh, it would be great to win this book as I am starting my first flock this spring, if it ever quits snowing and the 3 ft that is still on the ground EVER melts! Not so long ago I disillusioned my librarians re: I eat healthily when I asked if they could recommend a cookbook with lots of recipes using eggs and whole milk. Since I have chickens and goats, therefore a refrigerator full of eggs and whole milk. A give-a-way….

I want it! Oh, I would love to have that book. I had chickens once, and plan to have them again once the chicken house gets fixed. Seems my other chickens were not raised for our food, but for the foxes and coyotes. Boo hiss on that!

I would love, love, love to get this book. We currently have 60 laying hens and just received 70 baby chicks 2 weeks ago!!! I would love to win a book to help me raise them in the proper way and to know what to do with the eggs, besides omelets. So many eggs! So many MORE recipes to learn! I am hoping the information will keep me ground in reality. I would love to be entered to win this book. I have added to my flock this year and am expecting my delivery of 9 week old hens on April 4th. I cannot wait! We are getting ready to move to our own farm come this fall. Chickens are on our list of livestock along with alpacas and perhaps a goat or two. Sounds like a great book for a beginning chicken farmer! I always need good ways to use eggs. Would love to see the recipes. Would love this Guide and Cookbook. My daughter has chickens and I get her leftovers which is a huge amount. Any time we are predicted bad weather I always make sure we have plenty of milk and eggs with those items we are set. The cook book sounds very nice. Thank you. I get their fantastic composted chicken manure for my gardens and fruits. Getting rid of leftover food is a snap and they do such a good job of turning it into fertilizer!
This would be a great addition to my cookbook collection. It wold also be greatly used. We have 24 chickens. It was half how to raise chicken and half egg recipes. I don't have chickens yet , but I imagine if you have a few you will need lots of different recipes to use up all the eggs you'll get.
The author even talks about how to freeze eggs which I'd never heard of before. I would definitely recommend this one! Beautiful little cookbook. It is unfortunate that this book is no longer in print. I got my copy from the library. The author has a nice website with lots of helpful information on raising hens in your backyard for gathering your own eggs. There is even a webcam to watch her chicken yard. The site is www. This book has recipes specifically designed for the eggs you get from a home flock, or small farm, along with egg facts, tips for folks who raise chickens, and little stories.
